President Bidya Devi Bhandari attended a special function organised to mark the Chinese New Year in the capital on Thursday. The event also included a traditional Chinese cultural show.
Speaking at the function hosted by the Embassy of China, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong said the function was held at her new home in Nepal as continuity of the Chinese tradition of spreading the message of family union and solidarity in the New Year.
She also said that the recent past meeting between the Chinese President and the Prime Minister of Nepal in Goa of India had established high-level relations at the political level.
Also present at the function were ministers, heads of constitutional bodies and the diplomatic missions in Kathmandu, MPs, industrialists and businesspersons, media persons, and the Chinese nationals working and living in Nepal.
