The list of transfer was made public by the Human Resources Development Department of Nepal Police. The transfer was delayed for months due to differences between Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Upendra Kant Aryal, sources said.
SSP Chabilal Joshi has been brought to the Metropolitan Police Circle in Kathmandu. The post was vacated for nearly a month after retirement of SSP Bikram Singh Thapa. Joshi was previously at Zonal Police Office in Dhaulagiri.
Metropolitan Police Crime Division Chief Sarbendra Khanal has been transferred to IGP’s secretariat. Dinesh Amatya has been brought to the division from Nepal Police training centre in Nawalparasi.
Similarly Lalitpur Chief Pitambar Adhikari has been transferred to Mechi. Thule Rai of Nepal Police Disaster Management Division has been appointed as Lalitpur Chief. Dhiru Basnyat of Bheri Zonal Office has been transferred to Narcotics Control Bureau while Central Investigation Bureau’s Manoj Neupane has been sent to Research and Planning Directorate in police headquarters.
