In his address to the unity conference of NEA Nepal National Employees Association ( NNEA) and National Employees Association here Friday, Ghising said he got information that a section of people who did not want to see an end to load-shedding were intended to cause damage to the NEA transmission system.
He went on to say that despite challenges, the NEA was fully committed to expanding the no power outage drive (now in effect in the Kathmandu Valley) across the country, hoping for support from the civic-level towards that end.
Works were in progress with the intention of taking the NEA, which is presently in a loss to a profit-making company, within a couple of years, he added.
