While inaugurating the badminton tournament of local bodies’ employees here in Pokhara stadium Friday, leader Bhattarai who is also the chief of the publicity department of the party shared that the proposal should be withdrawn as it has come with an evil motive of splitting the Tarai from the hills.
He further shared that it was the only sports sectors where there was no discrimination either based on geography, race, ethnicity or any other, saying that only the national spirit is evoked through sports.
The competition is organized to develop the brotherhood and fraternity among the employees of local bodies of 25 districts, organizers said.
A total of 31 teams under the single and double categories are taking part in the competition.
