The Pune crime branch arrested a criminal on the police records and recovered three stolen motorcycles worth Rs 1.20 lakh from him.
The suspect has been identified as Rajendra Aambadas Kalaskar (30) of Pimpalner village in Parner Taluka of Ahmednagar district. The crime branch (unit-I) team led by inspector Vishwasraje Thorat has made the arrest.
Thorat said that sub-inspector Dinesh Patil and police constable Prashant Gaikwad received a tip-off that a suspect from Ahmednagar would be coming in Kasba Peth for selling of stolen vehicles. “We laid a trap and took Kalaskar into custody with a motorcycle,” Thorat said.
