Around 1100 technicians of most quake-hit districts have given
resignation en masse on Tuesday, saying the government did not address
their demands.
Engineers, overseers and sub-overseers deployed for assisting in the
houses reconstruction work in the 11earthquake-hit districts have
tendered their resignation in mass to the Chief of Central Project
Implementation Unit under the Urban Development Ministry, Shivahari
Sharma.
The ministry, however, has yet to approve their resignations. They
tendered their resignation after the government did not address their
various demands by December 15, which was their ultimatum deadlin
