Update: Four persons have died in Monday’s Saptari incident and 12
others were injured in a clash that took place between cadres of Madhesi
Morcha and police here on Monday.The Morcha cadres clashed with police
as UML Chair KP Oli was addressing those present in the mass meeting.
Earlier, six Morcha cadres were injured in the clash that had taken
place before Chairman Oli had reached the venue. The injured are
undergoing treatment at Sagarmatha Hospital, Rajbiraj. The condition of
two is reported to be critical. The Morcha leaders and cadres had been
burning tyres and taking out demonstrations carrying black flags and
sticks since early morning today, aimed at foiling the UML’s mass
meeting.
